The final step to infiltrating culture is becoming contagious. I said Sunday night in my message that no one wants your answer until they get to the place they need to ask the question. Too often we as Christians or businesses, or heretics of any sort, we tend to run around telling people that we have “the answer”… the only problem is they never had the question.

It’s like in the book “The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy”. They discover that the ultimate answer to the ultimate question of life the universe and everything is “64″. Only no one knows the question. Pouring on answers leads to a feeling of condemnation in the people you are trying to reach. Feelings of “I’m not good enough” and “They think they’re better than me” will permeate your relationship.

To become contagious, first have character in your own life. Results will beg questions. Hmmmm economy is down, yet they are financially stable… I wonder why? Now the question has been asked and the door has been opened.

Hmmm. They are going through hell based on the circumstances, yet they still are walking in peace and are even pleasant to be around… I wonder why? Now they want an answer.

Real witnessing isn’t cramming information down someone’s throat. Instead, witnessing is simply telling someone about what you saw when they ask what you saw. Contagious/Viral marketing/witnessing is brought about by one thing and one thing only… the first person has to be so full of the “virus” that they finally explode and infect the “cells” of people around them. Not vomit on them and hope they eat the vomit. Instead, when your standard of life is actually significantly different from theirs in a way other than petty cultural differences, that’s when the questions will be asked, and that’s when you can release the revelation of the Kingdom of God that you have into their life!
